Andrew Wilson

Finishing his second season as an assistant coach under Bobby Cremins is Andrew Wilson.

      Wilson, who was recruited by Cremins to play at Georgia Tech, opted to play for Florida State, where he was a sixth-year senior in 2005-06.

      He averaged a career-high 6.3 points while helping the Seminoles to the second round of the NIT last season. He played in a school-record 129 games at FSU, and earned a master’s degree in sports administration.

      Wilson, who is the only player in ACC history to play six seasons, is 12th on Florida State’s all-time list with 110 career 3-pointers.

      Wilson was named to the ACC Academic team three times, named to the ACC Honor Roll four times and named to the Dean’s List three times.

      Wilson, a 2000 graduate of Harrison High School in Kennesaw, Ga., played for coach Jerry Meuschke and earned all-state first-team honors as a junior and senior.

      Wilson averaged over 18 points per game as a senior while hitting 47 percent of his shots from the 3-point line and 86 percent of his shots from the free throw line while leading Harrison to a 22-5 record and into the state playoffs.

      He finished his career as Harrison's all-time leading scorer with 1,215 points.
