Andrew Wilson
Wilson, who was recruited by Cremins to play at Georgia Tech, opted to play for Florida State, where he was a sixth-year senior in 2005-06.He averaged a career-high 6.3 points while helping the Seminoles to the second round of the NIT last season. He played in a school-record 129 games at FSU, and earned a master’s degree in sports administration.
Wilson, who is the only player in ACC history to play six seasons, is 12th on Florida State’s all-time list with 110 career 3-pointers.
Wilson was named to the ACC Academic team three times, named to the ACC Honor Roll four times and named to the Dean’s List three times.
Wilson, a 2000 graduate of Harrison High School in Kennesaw, Ga., played for coach Jerry Meuschke and earned all-state first-team honors as a junior and senior.
Wilson averaged over 18 points per game as a senior while hitting 47 percent of his shots from the 3-point line and 86 percent of his shots from the free throw line while leading Harrison to a 22-5 record and into the state playoffs.
He finished his career as Harrison's all-time leading scorer with 1,215 points.
